Target Audience SCAD 2013

Academia: Research Scholars and Professors from academic institutions having an interest to know the key trends and new developments on experimental testing, analytical and numerical modelling and design among the fields of tribology and fatigue.

Industry: R&D instutions and companies involved in the previously mentioned fields.

UGent engineering students: Master students interested in the research at the Ghent University and scientific research are invited. The so-called 'Day of Research' (20 February) gives them the opportunity to inform themselves about starting up a career in scientific research.

Upon completion of your online registration, we will send you a confirmation email and receipt by email. For additional information regarding your registration please send an email to: SCAD@semico.be.

Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy
All costs referred to are in EUR (€). All payments must be made in EUR (€). Payments must be received prior to the congress. Delegates with outstanding payments will be asked for payment on site, proof of payment or a guarantee by credit card. If one of these cannot be supplied, the delegate will be refused permission to attend the congress.
The online registration site is a secured site. Major credit cards such as, VISA, Eurocard / MasterCard are accepted. Payments by wire transfer are accepted until 16 February 2013. Full payment must be received prior to the congress.
Cancellation of congress registration In the event of cancellation, written notification should be sent to the Organizing Secretariat (Semico). The following cancellation fees will apply:
• Till 10 January 2013: Refund minus € 50.00 handling fee
• From 10 January to 10 February 2013: Refund minus € 75.00 handling fee
• After 10 February 2013: No refund
All refunds will be processed and issued within 30 days after the congress.
Name substitutions are possible at an extra charge of € 25,00.

Important note
Papers presented at SCAD 2013 will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Sustainable Construction and Design. Accepted papers that are not being presented (i.e. none of the authors are present) will not be included in the journal.

Liability
In the case of Government intervention or regulation, military activity, strikes or any other circumstances that make it impossible or inadvisable for the SCAD 2013 to take place at the time and place provided, the participant shall waive any claim for damages or compensation except the amount paid for registration after deduction of actual expenses incurred in connection with the congress and there shall be no future liability on the part of either party.
